专家简介：
Dr. Liming Zhou is a Senior Research Scientist at Georgia Tech and currently Program Director of the NSF's Climate and Large-scale Dynamics program under the Intergovernmental Personal Act (IPA). He earned my Ph.D in geography (majoring in satellite remote sensing) in 2002 and my M.Sc. and B.Sc in meteorology (majoring in synoptic dynamics and numerical weather prediction). Dr. Zhou has a strong publication record in the fields of land-surface remote sensing, land-climate interactions and climate modeling (e.g., author or coauthor of 3 book chapters including the IPCC AR4 Report and of 49 peer-reviewed papers); His publications since 2000 have a total citation of 1402 times as of August 23, 2010 according to Thomson-ISI®. Dr Zhou has been active in professional service activities as a NSF program director and as a reviewer for 21 leading geophysical journals and for NSF and NASA proposals. Before coming to US, he was a weather forecaster (1994-1998) at National Meteorological Center in China.
The overarching objective of his research is to advance the understanding of land-human-climate interactions through a synthetic analysis of surface observations and remotely sensed and GIS data with Earth system modeling.
